Duplicate Publication:

Duplicate publication is the publication of a paper that is considerably like a published paper by a similar author, without recognizing the source and without getting the consent of the first copyright holder. [7,11,12] There might be pointless contrasts between the first and the subsequent paper, for example, another title or a changed conceptual, however the data set and discoveries stay the same.

Problems of duplicate publication:

It prompts a misuse of editorial and review resources[7].

It denies different authors the opportunity to publish their work by unjustifiably taking up restricted/competitive journals space.

It is a “indication of poor scholarship”[12] and may demonstrate that the “study contributes just barely to the literature.”

Concurrent Submission:

Concurrent submission alludes to the “practice of presenting similar manuscript to two or more journals at the equivalent time”[1]without educating the journal editorial manager that the original copy has been submitted somewhere else. It has additionally been named various entries or double submission. While duplicate publication includes the submission of a formerly published article to another journal, concurrent submission includes the submission of an original article that is under consideration at anotherjournal.

Problems of Concurrent Submission:

A copyright infringement or a copyright debate could follow, if more than one journal chooses to publish the paper.

It prompts a misuse of scholarly and scientific resources as two (or more) journals would invest energy and money on carrying out a similar production task.
